The infection is not transmitted by airborne droplets, but through the penetration of bacteria into the body through damaged skin - in other words, through a bite. Probably the infection can be transmitted in other ways, but few have tried and remained sane. Incubation period to an insane state for more than 6 hours, it is strange that most people managed to get infected during the night and part of the day. In addition to the infected, there are groups of people who have escaped infection, they are desperately fighting for survival - fighting off the sick, collecting supplies, trying to call for help. Some people have united in groups and are trying to get out of the island with joint efforts, some have barricaded themselves in bungalows, hotel rooms and various buildings scattered around the island. The situation of the survivors is unenviable - there is no help, supplies are running out, the infected rod is crowded. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel main character. So in our arsenal there are several ways to move, and the first is on foot, you can move around in dashes. Despite the fact that stamina is spent on running, it recovers quickly enough and at the same time you can run away from the ghouls.

Second over fast way travel is by car. In a car, the speed is higher and the infected do not pose a particular threat - they can simply be passed over. However, this method has several disadvantages - cars are not often seen, and the roads are littered with garbage, broken cars and blocked by barricades. Obstacles significantly reduce speed, increase the risk of getting stuck and becoming a victim of an attack.

Some places on the map can only be reached by building a staircase from boxes, places where the construction of such a structure is required are highlighted with an action indicator. Often, the infected interfere in the construction, then you can throw these boxes at them.

And finally, the most convenient way is teleportation between the strongholds of the survivors and unidirectional teleports that allow you to return to the stronghold from distant wanderings. So if you see a map on the wall, then consider yourself lucky and you won't have to go back through the whole zombie.

The location map of Banoi Island is well done. It is well drawn (just some kind of GoogleMap), quest characters are carefully marked on it, the places of quest items are shown on the radar, and a route is laid to the current task indicating the distance to the target. On the map, you can specify an arbitrary point and lay a route to it (for example, to a car in a parking lot).

But it was not without mischief. A wonderful map, but you can’t move around it, only a small piece of it around the character is shown, which can be zoomed in or, on the contrary, moved away. It is impossible to imagine the whole scale of the location without having a rich imagination and experience of a Cuban mercenary who spent 100 years in the jungle guided by maps and a compass.

The map is not complete, but it makes it possible to imagine that you will have to run solidly. Many places will have to be reached through the sewer network, it is huge and branched out and very densely populated by you-know-who. There are also a lot of IDs in the sewers.

Where to rent a car in Moresby?

The car is parked next to the water pump. The very first task of the main storyline will be sent just to clean up the pumping station from marauders. It will not be possible to drive a car through the streets of Moresby with a breeze, as the streets are littered with garbage and barricades. Some parts of the city can only be reached on foot.

Resort map:

The task can be obtained by listening to the message on the radio. I checked - in the house nearby there is a rare weapon, I had a green machete. After entering the house, it is advisable to close the door - zombies will come running. There are not many supplies there, the uncle lied, or rather, only a weapon and that's it.
  3. Behind many houses there are boxes with weapons, but the weapons turned out to be simple, but they are quite suitable for raising money.

The entire coast is lined with Japanese pillboxes from the Second World War. The pillboxes are connected into a single network by underground passages. It was only partially possible to verify the last statement, and it was not possible to save the man in the bunker on the cape.

I ran from him to point 6, around which Jason walked for a long time threatening civilians.

If you come to the Jungle location looking for a team of Russians, then the characters will not give you quests, and access to some places will be closed.

That's actually all. 5 large locations with maps, several smaller ones. Separately stands the location in Moresby Sewerage, large in length and branched, very densely populated, there is no map, many nooks and crannies in which interesting weapons and IDs are stored.

Why did I end up in the jungle?

This question arises after talking with a Russian barricaded in some closet in Moresby's location. This is a continuation of an incomprehensible storyline about Russians on the island of Banoi. In the jungle, you need to find a bunker in which the representatives of the Russian side hid. Several infected settled in the bunker, but these are not our compatriots. The Russians seem to have got off safely on a fishing boat that broke through the blockade, this information will be received by radio. Or they left the bunker and went to meet the boat. One can only guess about their fate, since Nikolai also disappeared from the bunker at the Resort, did not wait for a satellite phone. In the course of the game, no more Russians met, except for the alcoholic Svetka - to whom you can take expensive champagne in exchange for experience and money.

Why won't the door to the police station open?

You can’t get into the police station through the door, you can climb through the sewers, and then through the back gate. However, even in this way, it will be possible to get there only after completing the quest according to the main plot. There are at least 3 more quests associated with the police station in Moresby, so it's a good idea to run through all the NPCs and collect all the secondary quests before going back. Is it possible? I don't know, I went there 3 times.

How to get into the jungle? How to get to Moresby? How to get to the laboratory?

The transition to a new location occurs as the storyline progresses. There is no other way to get in. The exception is the line of quests associated with the Russian Nikolai, whom we save in the Resort location. After meeting with Sergei, who must hand over the phone, there will be a transition to the Jungle, but the location is fully opened only after completing the story in Moresby.
