A quick and easy guide with tactics of playing in a 7vs7 match on Cromwell B tanks in World of Tanks.

Cromwell "B" is a Tier 6 premium tank in World of Tanks. In real fighting machine was successfully used in server Africa, Cromwell B tanks participated in the landing in Normandy and showed themselves with better side. In the game, even the usual version of Cromwell is excellent. As for the 7 versus 7 tactics we are considering, the choice in favor of a paid tank is more than justified.

Cromwell B in 7 vs 7 battles World of Tanks

As you know, 7 vs 7 battles provide for a maximum tank level of no more than 8. However, it is impossible to recruit a sufficient number of tier eight combat vehicles due to the second limitation - by the sum of levels. Under these conditions, players have to carefully choose the average composition between the maximum number of tanks and their quality. Here Cromwell B is an excellent option, as it has enhanced characteristics like all premium tanks in comparison with "classmates", and also has excellent maneuverability. Cromwell B's DPM is above average, and the number of hitpoints ensures a high total of team health points, which is a key parameter influencing victory in a 7v7 battle.

For example, we will consider a battle with the choice of the main tank of our British hero. So, here is the list of winning tank setup for the team:

  • 5 Cromwell B tanks
  • 1 T37 tank
  • 1 tank VK2801

The main advantages of this set of tanks for the 7vs7 mode in WOT are its mobility and stability and accidental hits on the move due to the high tilt angles of the German VK 28.01 light tank and sufficient armor of the Cromwell B premium tank. Coordinated team actions and flawless model " command - submission" will give the current composition of the tanks mobility and incredible omnipresence.

Tactics for Cromwell B

A record of the movement of tanks on the minimap in a 7 vs 7 battle in World of Tanks, in which it is clearly seen how the five Cromwells "B" take the center of the map under their control at the very beginning of the battle. Having taken possession of the middle of the game location, the team illuminates the opponents moving separately along different ends cards and attacks them in a crowd in turn. All tanks move synchronously and manage to attack together 1-2 "spree" enemy vehicles. The enemy simply does not have time to come to the aid from the opposite side to the allies attacked from the center of the map. This is the main thing that gives early capture of the center in 7v7 battles. Having discharged ammunition into a part of the enemy army, a team of 5 Cromwell B tanks moves in the direction of the nearest illuminated opponents, picking up the rest of the second team's equipment along the way.

The guide is presented above in this video.

We intentionally made a quick replay of this fight for you to give you an overview. about tactics in seven-on-seven battles on Cromwell B tanks in World of Tanks and not blur the whole picture with unnecessary details. In this guide, the main thing is to capture the very essence of what is happening in the battle recording presented above. Note the difference in the tactics chosen by teams #1 and #2.

Separately, I would like to dwell on the mobility of the presented composition of tanks for 7v7 battles. The high speed of movement of the main tank - Cromwell B makes it easy to move the entire army around the map.

In conclusion, we note that in order to win in 7v7 mode, it is not enough just to have Cromwell B in your team. The main factor of victory, as always, is tactics, in this case, a tactic to quickly seize control of the center of the map. The second obligatory tactical move is unquestioning obedience to the commander and the simultaneous execution by the team of his orders during the battle. Compliance with subordination will make control over your forces at the game location more accurate, faster and more efficient, which will allow you to use the surprise factor when attacking enemy tanks.

How often in battles did I get bored with this Cromwell with its, at first glance, not outstanding performance characteristics. But in skillful hands, he perfectly bends and punishes. What is the power, brother? And strength in DMP and mobility. Yes, that's right, this is a Hellcat in the form of a medium tank. Here, after reading the review of Cromwell, we will find out all his tricks and secrets of the “gentleman”.

Characteristics of Cromwell WOT

How to play on a native of foggy Albion, you ask me, and I will tell you. And the style and tactics of the game are dictated to us, of course, by technical data. It's simple here - as the Cromwell is a medium British tier 6 tank, and it has no armor at all, but at the same time it has excellent mobility and maneuverability. Therefore, we do not play swing with the enemy for as long as possible. But instead, we circle it, go to the rear, go to cut out the artillery, when one flank, as it should be in a random house, was abandoned. I would also like to note that even in stock Cromwell is very good, if you have straight hands, you will really enjoy playing.

So, the detailed characteristics of Cromwell:

durability 700 HP;
mass / prev. weight 27.47/28 tons;
engine power 410 hp;
max. speed 64/20 km/h;
turning speed 34 gr/sec;

BOND... JAMES BOND! (Cromwell Review)

What are the advantages of Cromwell from world of tanks:

High speed
Good turret mobility
Cornering dynamics
rate of fire
High DPM
Yield

What are the disadvantages of Cromwell from world of tanks:

Almost no armor
The top gun does not have high accuracy and long aiming.

Based on the performance characteristics of Cromwell, we choose the equipment as follows: rammer, aiming drives, optics, in fact, a classic for a fast tank. And the consumables are no less classic - Hand fire extinguisher, Small first aid kit, Small repair kit.

When Cromwell is in the top, we still can't rush in the first line, we're cardboard. Therefore, we stand further away, preferably in a fold of the terrain, and while our ISs and KVs will receive ricochets and non-penetration, we ourselves shoot at the enemy. Thus, we maintain our margin of safety to the maximum.

Hello everyone and welcome to aces.gg! In this guide, we will talk about an interesting machine that has already been tested on European and American servers, and very soon the players of the World of Tanks RU server will be able to appreciate it. Yes, today we will talk about a special premium British medium tank Cromwell B.

Outwardly, this is the vehicle of the 7th Panzer Division "Desert Rats", which received its name for successful operations in North Africa. The division received Cromwell tanks in 1944 after returning to the UK. It was they who participated in the landing in Normandy, reached the Rhine and took part in the Victory Parade on September 7, 1945 in Berlin.

Based on the performance characteristics, we essentially get a premium analogue of the pumped Cromwell. With all its advantages in the form of excellent dynamics, high top speed and a pretty good DPM. Let's not forget about all the premium vehicle bonuses: additional farm for kids and experience, and additional crew experience. Plus, here you can transfer the crew from any upgraded British medium tank without penalty.

gun

The weapon of the Cromwell B, although it looks different, is essentially the same top-end barrel of the upgraded brother. At different names they are copies of each other. Consequently, our gun has excellent armor penetration rates for both bb and sub-caliber. And such a rate of fire essentially gives us a "drum" without the need for its long reloading through certain number shots.

Pros and cons:

Pros:
- High top speed
- good dynamics
- Excellent DPM
— Excellent armor penetration for level 6, both basic and premium shells
- Good UVN -12.5 +20 degrees

Minuses:
- Absence preferential level fights
- Small alpha strike
- not available for sale
- weak booking

optional equipment

Here the choice is pretty obvious:

medium caliber gun rammer,
improved ventilation and
reinforced pickup drives.

Crew skills and abilities

Standard and good choice will be:

Commander -
Sixth Sense,
Repair,
The Brotherhood of War.
Gunner -
Repair,
Smooth turn of the tower
The Brotherhood of War.
Driver mechanic -
Repair,
smooth move,
The Brotherhood of War.
Radio operator -
Repair,
Radio interception,
The Brotherhood of War.
Loader -
Repair,
Contactless ammo rack,
The Brotherhood of War.

Equipment selection

Here's another standard, namely:
small repair kit
small first aid kit and
manual fire extinguisher. I advise you to use premium equipment, which is quite expensive, but can significantly increase the survivability of your vehicle in battle. So feel free to put on your tank
large repair kit
large first aid kit and
automatic fire extinguisher. Can also be used instead of an automatic fire extinguisher
tea pudding.

Tactics and application

We have just an excellent support tank in our hands, and this role is to be played, both at the top of the list and at the bottom of it. Thanks to an excellent maximum speed of 64 km / h, we can be directly where our help is needed: push through the direction together with allied CTs, support our heavy tanks or return to defend our own base - our little Cromwell will have time to do all this.

Thanks to such a quick-firing gun, we will be able to simply "peck" the other 6 levels, and thanks to high armor penetration, we will also become a hindrance to Tier 8 vehicles. The main thing to remember is that our one-time damage is rather modest, we don’t have armor, as such, and we can’t boast of a large supply of HP, so you need to play very carefully.

Outcome

As a result, we get an excellent medium tank, which is in no way inferior to the pumped brother, but at the same time has a unique appearance and all premium vehicle bonuses. Collectors are already rubbing their hands in anticipation of the appearance of the tank on sale, and clan players who often play on the World of Tanks Global Map are also waiting for its appearance, because Cromwell is simply irreplaceable in campaigns and events at 6 levels.

The game World of Tanks presents gamers with many branches of tanks to choose from. "Cromwell" refers to the British machines and has a fairly straightforward gameplay. Nevertheless, questions may arise during the pumping of the tank. One of them is the following: "What equipment to put on the" Cromwell "?". But first you need to consider the "British" from all sides.

Story

Second World War showed the readiness of world troops for hostilities. The armies of all countries found flaws in technology, weapons and tactics. The same thing happened to Britain, which in 1940 discovered the shortcomings of its military equipment.

So, by the end of 1942, military designers decided to release a powerful and dynamic tank - the Cromwell.

Motor

When it was decided to build the tank, it was given typical British characteristics. All the details were in certain places, which were repeated in every model in Britain. At its birth, Cromwell was able to acquire a powerful Rolls-Royce Meteor engine. The maximum power could be squeezed out at 600 horsepower, so the speed on a straight road could reach 65 km / h.

In World of Tanks, there are already three engines for this vehicle, with different power and price. As in reality, the same historic Rolls-Royce Meteor with a capacity of 600 horsepower is available. it best option in case you don’t want to pump Cromwell to the maximum, but it’s also reluctant to play on the drain.

The next motor is the Nuffield Liberty Mk. V, the "first level" engine. It has a small price, as well as weak power - 410 horsepower. As you can see, the difference with subsequent motor options is colossal. The final engine is a modification of the Rolls-Royce Meteor Mk. IVB. It is the most expensive and most powerful - for 16 thousand silver you will get 650 hp. With.

Booking

Each world player of Tanks knows that having decided which additional. put the equipment on the Cromwell, you can solve the problem with the armor. AT real life nothing like this happens, so the designers immediately tried to create a tank that blocked damage well.

In WoT, the Briton has fairly strong armor. The only thing that can let him down in battle is sheets that are fastened at right angles. If the tank is not placed in a “rhombus”, then anyone will be able to pierce it. The most armored part is the turret. In the forehead, it has 76 mm, in the side 63 mm, and the feed is 57 mm.

The body of the tank is less durable. Here the strongest part is also the forehead with a value of 63 mm. The thickness of the side of the hull is 43 mm, but the feed is the most vulnerable spot, only 31 mm.

In the game, "Cromwell" is very reminiscent of the Soviet "Churchill" in its forms. The sheets are fastened at right angles, so the tower has an almost square shape. The most armored part of the tank is the "forehead" of the tower, and its sides are also quite powerful.

The gaming Cromwell remained almost the same as its real prototype. Armor values differ by only a few units. This was done to balance the game, and so that the Briton was not weak at his 6th level.

Weapon

You can also improve weapons in World of Tanks by deciding what equipment to put on the Cromwell. For example, a rammer will reduce reload time by 10%, a stabilizer will improve weapon hitting during turret rotation and tank movement. Reinforced aiming drives will make gun aiming 10% faster.

Other weapons that are not directly related to the gun can also affect the effectiveness of weapons. For example, by installing you will significantly reduce the visibility of a stationary vehicle, and then you can easily realize the full fire potential of the tank without being illuminated.

In the game, everyone can install a weapon to their taste as they upgrade. The top gun has a caliber of 75 mm, provides an average damage of 135, and penetration of 145/202/38. Ammunition is 64 rounds. With penetration and luck per minute, you can shoot 2000 damage. Try to upgrade your car with a top gun as quickly as possible, as a stock tank can significantly lower your game statistics.

It will help to improve the accuracy of Cromwell in World of Tanks equipment, which we will talk about later.

Equipment

So, it's worth noting that this classic tank is designed more for support than mindless driving straight. Therefore, you should carefully consider what equipment to put on the Cromwell.

So, if you decide to be an assistant and support to your team, then we choose a rammer, reinforced aiming drives and ventilation. If you decide to become a reconnaissance, then we change the reinforced aiming drives for coated optics.

This equipment stage is due to the fact that in the game the tank has weak armor, but is quite dynamic. The weapon can also deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time. Therefore, in the case of support, we focus on the rate of fire, mobility and accuracy.

In choise additional equipment there is one but. Here you need to adjust the assembly depending on which game is closer to you. Remember that the above setup option is just a guideline. The tank can also be assembled into a kind of anti-tank gun, which will stand in the bushes, shine all around and shoot. Then you will have to choose a camouflage net, a stereo tube and a rammer.

You can, on the contrary, choose an aggressive tactic and charge the car into the power of the weapon. But in this case, do not forget that when deciding what equipment to put on the Cromwell, you should also choose the skills of the crew correctly.

Crew skills

Crew leveling depends on your answer to the question: “What equipment should be installed on tanks?”. We have already figured out that the movement for "Cromwell" is the most basic, which means that you should think about choosing the "repair" skill. Further, it all depends on how experienced a player you are. The second perk can be pumped into "combat brotherhood", or you should choose the skills of each crew member. This is primarily an improvement in maneuverability, visibility and shooting.

How to play?

The tactics of the game depend on the advantages and disadvantages of Cromwell in World of Tanks. The guide on how to play the Brit will also be governed by your role in the team. Therefore, to begin with, we will consider the advantages and disadvantages in the performance characteristics of the tank.

The British car has excellent maneuverability, dynamics, aiming angles and a gun. This means that you can quickly change your position on the map, shoot from behind the bushes or hide behind the “body” of stronger allies. Of the shortcomings of "Cromwell" weak armor, unsuccessful angles of inclination of the body sheets, there is a possibility of fire and useless stabilization.

As mentioned earlier, it is best to use the tank as a support. Moreover, even if you are at the top of the map, you should not go ahead of everyone and absorb damage. It is best to wait until the cords disperse, the fireflies will give information about the location of the enemy, and then, having chosen a location for yourself, go to the rescue. Also, thanks to the speed, you can always, from any flank, be able to return to defend the base.

If you are at the bottom of the list, do not be upset. In this case, you can also become a great assistant to your leaders. Thanks to good performance armor penetration you can give up and the 8th levels.

The main feature of Cromwell is an accurate game. It is important for you not to rush and be attentive to your allies. Always have time to come to the aid or protect the weak. Efficiency in the game depends not only on the skills of the gamer. The outcome of the game in your favor also depends on what equipment is better to put on Cromwell, and on the choice of tactics.

A total of 1070 Cromwells were produced, and a considerable number of vehicles were also obtained by upgrading the Mk VIII Centaur tanks to the Cromwell standard. During production, the tank was constantly upgraded. "Cromwell" was actively used by British troops in North-Western Europe in -1945, a significant part of the vehicles produced was also transferred to the allies of Great Britain. Cromwells remained in service until the 1950s, some of them were converted into Chariotir tanks.

Figure 1. Tank "Cromwell" on the march, France, summer 1944

General characteristics

The main disadvantage of the Cromwell tank is the fact that it throws it into battles with tier 8 tanks, and okay, if these were medium tanks, otherwise this heavy tanks 8th level. Just imagine this scenario - you are at the bottom of the list and against you are not "Tigers" and "ISes", but all sorts of "IS-3", "AMH 50 100" and "T34" (premium) with "Lion".

Figure 2. "Cromwell" in the garage

So try to fight against them. Well, okay, we can still beat them at speed, helping the allies, but try and figure it out with a rare species under the name "T-59". In general, the forces are clearly not equal, and such a balance on the part of the developers is clearly erroneous, because Cromwell is not light tank, like "ELC AMX", and therefore it should not play the role of light, if only because it is too large for such functions. In general, this is a tank of the period 1943-1945. and he had to fight against the German "Pzkpfw-IV", as well as joint efforts, together with the "Churchills" and "Sherman-Firefly", to overcome the "Tigers" and "Panthers" of the enemy. And it was certainly not planned to use them against such monsters as the IS-3, which even “ Royal tiger' was no match. In general, you will have to put up with the hysterical antics of the balance, just like the French AMX 13 75/90, which are also thrown into very strange fights (I would call them survival fights). In short, the balance is still the same, well, now let's move on to the main characteristics of the tank and gradually try to figure it all out.

Figure 3. The main characteristics of the tank "Cromwell"

Strength and weight

The average durability of the tank is 750 hp, which is quite a standard indicator for the 6th level. Initially, this value is 700, but the installation of the tower adds as much as 50 units of strength, which is very much for such an improvement. However, tanks of the Sherman series have approximately the same performance ("M4A3E8" - 720 (stock), "M4A3E2" - 730 (stock)) and only the German "VK 3601 (H)" - 760 hp in stock. In general, the margin of safety is even somewhat greater than that of colleagues, but given the rather weak armor characteristics, as well as the lack of rational angles and streamlined parts (solid armored modules were almost never used in the tank, such as, for example, in the USSR on the T-34 , "IS-3", "T-54"), this stock will be close to us. In general, you can most often forget about armor and rely only on natural shelters and speed. Our speed is just wonderful - 64 km / h maximum, and this is with a mass of 29.5 tons. Such a weight is quite moderate, as for medium tanks, we can say that this is a kind of golden mean. However, the combination of such a mass and speed allows us, in a mutual frontal collision, to completely or 90% destroy such a tank, for example, as the T21 (weight - 23 tons). So, with Anti-Split Liner, the Ram Master skill, and Reinforced Torsion Bars, you can safely ram targets that are weaker or equal to us, and you can also attack stronger ones, but this is already a risk. After all, we don’t know for sure whether the same “IS” has an anti-fragmentation lining or not, and whether the driver “Master of the Ram” learned it. Actually, if the Kamikaze medal gives you a lot of positive emotions, then this risk makes sense (only ram such heavy tanks only when they have 5-10% of their durability left).

Armor

The Cromwell tank has armor, but in those battles where we get, we can say that it is practically non-existent. The thickest armor plate - 76 mm is located on the frontal part of the tower, and the body is protected by 64 mm armor plate. In principle, the tower is well protected - on the side - 63 mm, and on the back - 56 mm, but the thing is that the tower is the same type as that of the tank "VK3001 (P)", "Tiger", that is, the armor plates are located almost at right angles. Therefore, one cannot count on ricochets, and given that tanks with guns that can penetrate at least 100 mm will “butt” with us, the picture becomes even more colorful. In general, if the tower can still be placed from behind cover, and it sometimes does not allow damage to pass, then the hull must be hidden by all possible means. Considering these armor values, frontal skirmishes from opponents, that is, duels, are extremely contraindicated for a tank. You don't have to assume that if, say, you stand behind cover, and "M4A3E8" did the same, stick out the towers and shoot at each other, then you will have a better chance of winning. Of course, we have better penetration, but Mazai has a ricochet turret and a powerful cannon mask, which catches hits even not from such guns as ours.

Figure 4. Towers for "Cromwell"

Pay attention to the indicators of the stock and top towers - they are absolutely identical, this suggests that the improvements most likely touched on the internal structure. In the game, such trifles are not taken into account (there is no “Comfort” modifier), so formally we only have an improvement in terms of durability by 50 units. Our review is average - 360 meters, neither more nor less. It is also worth remembering that we have only 32 mm armor on the side of the hull, which is quite small, and even MS-1 can penetrate such armor, so try not to substitute the sides, they are too cardboard. Summing up, we can say that when playing on this tank, you should not rely on armor in general, but give preference to speed and maneuverability, so they definitely justify themselves and according to these indicators, the Cromwell cruiser tank is one of the best in the game.

Engines and Chassis

The stock engine has 410 hp. and is the brainchild of Newfield and is called this work "Newfield Liberty Mk.V" and has a 20% chance of ignition, which is actually normal for aircraft engines. The stock engine gives us at least some dynamics, although to the point that the engine from the Rolls-Royce Meteor company, which later ate up to its ears, can give us. The first type has a power of 600 hp, and the second, with the modification code "Mk.IVB", has as much as 50 hp. more. This is all strange, because the engine went through at least 8 modifications and added only 50 horsepower to its power. However, its power is enough for us to disperse the tank to 60 km in a matter of seconds (about 10-12 seconds).

Our chassis is called "A27" and has differences in the designation "M / L" (I guess - light / medium). So, the top chassis has a turning speed of 2 degrees / sec more, and a load capacity of 1.5 tons more. The turning speed is above average and allows us to write unthinkable turns with the help of powerful engines. The tank becomes so fast and maneuverable that even such fairly fast heavy tanks as the IS-3 are able to whirl. The small difference in carrying capacity between the stock and top suspension means that most of the modules can be installed on the base chassis.

guns

Figure 7. The choice of guns for the medium tank "Cromwell"

What can be said about the guns for the Cromwell tank? - there are a lot of them, but all of them are almost useless except for the top option. Nevertheless, we will get acquainted with them all, after all, before the top configuration, one must somehow fight, so: "Guns QF6- pdr Gun. Mk. III/ Mk. V" - they have a high rate of fire, good armor penetration, aiming speed, but at the same time they have poor accuracy and low DPM. Suitable for tedious picking in the armor of juggernauts like "Tiger" or "KV-3", the main thing is not to get under return fire, since it will take a long time to shoot, and the motionless "Cromwell" is a tasty morsel, both for artillery and for tanks opponents; "Tool" 3.7 inch howitzer" this is a vivid example of what a “high explosive” should not be, in other words, howitzer-type guns mounted on a tank or tank destroyer. It has very low accuracy - 0.51-0.58, the average rate of fire is 5-8.57 v / m, and the convergence time reaches 3.4 seconds (also the average value for "high explosives"). At the same time, we have the lowest level of armor penetration in our class - 47 mm base AP (with a damage of 370 units) and 110 mm cumulative, while the damage is only 280 units. For comparison, the German 105 mm KwK 42 L/28 HE shell has 150 mm HEAT penetration with 350 HP of damage, while a regular HE pierces 53 mm and deals 410 HP of damage. But all this would be fine, but the projectile has a very low starting speed and it is quite difficult to shoot at highly mobile targets. However, on city maps, when the battles are back to back, this weapon can bring a lot of pleasure; "The 75-mm gun Gun Mk. V" - this gun is a direct clone of the gun, which is well known to us from such tanks as the T14, M3 Lee, M4 Sherman. The gun fires quickly, with good one-time damage as for battles of levels 4-5, has an average accuracy and aiming speed. The advantages include a high rate of fire - up to 20 rounds per minute. But the thing is that we still need to look for targets in the teeth of this gun, and if the same “T14” due to armor can overcome the “KV” or “T1 Heavy” in a duel with this gun, then we are unlikely. There is only one choice here - the active use of expensive gold shells. However, I do not consider this a good choice, since the bills for the battle are then full of such minuses that I want to quickly choose another weapon. I remember the following case - on the Highway map, near one of the buildings, I was waiting for the release of slow strands, which usually crawl out from there 3 minutes after the start of the battle. Naturally, the fast Cromwell took the position first due to speed. Well, soon the enemy T1 Heavy appeared - I let it drive a little so that it exposed the sides and began to methodically shoot there. And what was my surprise when the undercarriage of the American heavyweight swallowed up 4 out of 5 shells fired at it. Then even better - he turned around and started shooting, his gun is not bad, fast-firing and well balanced. Unfortunately, the position was in a corner, so there was little chance of getting out of there. As a result of the head-on firefight, I was able to pierce the American only three times (I only count hits with damage), everything else went into the armor and got stuck or ricocheted there. And "T1 Heavy" had no choice but to disassemble the "cardboard" "Cromwell", which could not oppose anything in this position on the map. In general - sadness, and only, in short, if you put this gun, then stock up on sub-caliber ones. In my opinion, it is better to put the six-pound gun described above and do less damage, but still penetrate the target, than vice versa. "75 mm vickers HV" - the top gun and the best in all respects. The accuracy is slightly above average, the aiming speed is 2.3 seconds, while we can penetrate 145 mm of armor and deal 135 damage per average base AP shell. Moreover, the sub-caliber can penetrate 202 mm of armor (on average), which helps a lot when encountering TTs of levels 7-8. In general, the gun is very good, only it takes a little longer to converge than we would like, because the rate of fire of 15.4 rpm implies a high rate of fire, and here it is very important to quickly aim at the target. However, you can slightly improve the situation by installing “Reinforced aiming drives”, with which the maximum aiming time will be a little more than two seconds (2.07). The gun is quite accurate and at the same time the projectile speed (initial) is high, which allows us to shoot even such complex targets as T29 and IS from a distance of 400-500 meters. In general, put a gun and enjoy, you will forget what it means not to pierce the "Tiger" or "IS" in the forehead, and this will certainly increase the effectiveness of the battles on this tank.

radio stations

We have three radio stations to choose from, and one is more beautiful than the other, although they do not differ in transcendental range, which is a pity, because we can move from one side of the map to the other in a minute. However, we also have the “Repeater” skill (or not a skill, but the radio operator simply removed the repeater from the warehouse, and told everyone that he miraculously reconfigured the radio station and they say that now it takes the wave farthest). But seriously, even a top-end radio takes only 550 meters, which is not enough for a nimble Cromwell, so pay close attention to the corresponding skill of the radio operator (it will be 660 meters with him).

Tactics and modules

The main trump card of the tank is its speed and accurate, quick-firing gun, but since we have completely cardboard armor, and even located at right angles, it will not work to realize the potential of the gun in a head-on collision. Frontal collisions are generally contraindicated for us, because if the same T-34-85 can sometimes count on ricochets on streamlined and inclined parts of the frontal armor (turret, hull), then we don’t even have this chance. Therefore, there are two main ways - fast movement and entry into the rear or flank and shelling at full speed, with "carousels" around the opponent, or skillful use of the terrain, which allows us to enter the area overgrown with vegetation and work to illuminate the allies, or themselves to work as light. To do this, you must definitely learn Disguise, Eagle Eye and Radio Interception, or at least install coated optics instead of these skills. Although they work clearly better in combination, however, this is enough for most combat situations. The general maneuverability of the tank and, in general, all its characteristics (except for armor and other permanent characteristics) can be increased by using the Combat Brotherhood skill, but the skill itself will be hardly noticeable, but it will take a lot of time to pump it, and therefore you should think carefully about what you plan to explore. It makes sense to develop "Combat Brotherhood" if you put ventilation on the tank. Based on this, you will receive a 10% bonus to all the main specialties of the crew, and if, in addition, you have at your disposal analogues of the game “dope” such as “Doppike” “Chocolate” or, as in the case of the British, “Pudding with tea, then the bonus the battle will be 20%. It would roughly look like if you had a crew with 80% training and in an instant they would get 100% skill for the whole next battle. Those who have been playing tanks for a long time are well aware of the difference between a 75-80% trained crew and a 100% crew. All this immediately affects the accuracy of fire, the rate of fire, the overall dynamics of the tank and the viewing range. So such a combination makes sense, especially if you are ready to pump the crew persistently and stubbornly, since the "Combat Brotherhood" starts to work only with one hundred percent study (although it looks strange, we fought side by side for so many days and battles, and one fine day “Combat Brotherhood” turned on abruptly, I don’t know what caused it, probably, it’s easier to add a skill to the game than to paint its effect on percentages with each degree of development of crew members). Since constant movement is very important for us, the performance of the chassis is on the agenda. To keep it intact, we need torsion bars, and we also need to repair quickly, as any downtime in seconds can cost us an early visit to the hangar. For these purposes, learn "Repair as possible more tankers in the crew and put the “Tool Box” on the tank. If all 5 tankers have 100% "Repair" and with the crate we get another 25% bonus to repair speed, then the process of repairing tracks will take seconds. All this, along with increased survivability running due to torsion bars will help the tank survive in difficult combat situations. http://youtu.be/D3w_8Bw8h2U Based on the above, we again focus on the integrity of the tracks, and we know how effectively splash from artillery (already from level 5) can knock down tracks, especially unpleasant when at full speed, and the static Cromwell is a tasty target for almost any tank. So, the anti-fragmentation lining will help us save the tracks, which, although it has a nominal protection of 15% from artillery, protects much better from the splash itself than from a direct hit. Considering our rate of fire, and the fact that we often have to hit on short stops, or even on the move, a minimum spread is very important for us, high speed information that will allow us to hit heaps and without pauses. For these purposes, we need the “Reinforced aiming drives” module, as well as the learned skills “Smooth move / turret turn”. Their combination will help to significantly reduce the dispersion, and also allow us to converge on the target faster, so that we will be able to conduct heavy fire on the enemy with minimal delays (only a second will need to wait for the aiming). Despite the fact that the tank has an aircraft engine, the tank itself is infrequently on fire. In general, they disable the engine more often than set it on fire. However, if you drive exclusively with high-octane gasoline, then it is worth filling the tanks with carbon dioxide, learning "Cleanliness and Order" to the driver, and also training three crew members in "Fire Fighting". All this will allow us to reduce the chances of fire to an almost impossible minimum. That is, it will be possible to completely forget about the fire extinguisher and cut through the expanses of the "World of Tanks" with high-octane gasoline, which gives a tangible bonus to the dynamics of the tank. And even more so, this is important on maps like Enska, where maneuvers along city streets sometimes replace powerful armor and allow you to hit where the enemy least expects. Although the British are far from being knocked out of their ammunition racks as often as their American counterparts, you can still take care of this issue. Combining the "Proximity ammo rack" and "Wet ammo rack" skill will give a 62.5% protection that the tank will not receive ammo damage and will not explode. Considering that high rate of fire is also our forte and keeping it constant is also very important, this module and skill will always be in demand.

Yield table

Figure 9. Cromwell tank profitability table

What do we see on the table? Income for 10 battles without PA was 214561, and with a premium account, respectively - 321842. The sum of expenses is ∑=82657+21000+127160=230817, you can immediately see that without PA there are minuses, although we rarely used gold shells. The reason for this is the "new economy", which cut the profitability of tanks of levels 6-7. So, without PA we have -16256, and with PA +91025, the difference is obvious (the answer suggests itself why they introduced the “new economy” - a hint - so that they would buy a premium account more often). A total of 10 fights took 1.18 hours in time, the average duration of a fight was 7 minutes. We earned 6671 experience points, and with a premium account - 10007 points. This is a fairly good indicator, and it means that on average, without PA, we earn more than 600 units per battle, and with a premium account - 1000 units. In general, in terms of gaining experience, the tank is quite comfortable, but in terms of money, we have small minuses or zeros, and only with PA we go into profit. This is due to the fact that the tank often performs the functions of light, and also goes to the forefront of the attack, and therefore takes risks and often takes a lot of damage, which affects the amount of repairs.

Conclusion

Fans of "drive" will definitely like this tank, because this car is able to maintain a stable speed of 50 km/h. Well, what does a real rusher need? First of all, excellent dynamics, then a gun, and only then - armor. It is in this proportion that priorities are set in this tank. The armor is just enough to withstand the fire of medium tanks of the 5th level with varying degrees of success, and against more powerful targets, you can use speed and a skillful choice of positions, since we can occupy these positions very first. The tank is very "funny", boring and comfortable to drive and will definitely leave more positive emotions than negative ones.
