What to watch

It is worth starting a visit to the Patriot from the Partisan Village, 11 objects of which tell about the difficult life of the partisans. The Patriot Park exhibition complex in Kubinka near Moscow occupies an area of almost five hectares and consists of almost a dozen separate objects. How not to get lost in Patriot Park and not miss anything interesting - read this article. (Information updated as of September 10, 2018).

Dear readers!
In September, the exposition was once again updated in the Park. For updates, you can make separate large reviews, but for now, briefly about the most important changes for those who will go to the Patriot in the near future.

  • Tanks from the Patriot-Expo complex were transported to an open area in Museum Complex 1.
  • The second part of the exposition of trophies from Syria has opened in the Museum Complex 1. There are a lot of armored vehicles in the open area and a whole pavilion of smaller trophies. Marked with a red star on the map.
  • In the Echoes of War room in the Museum Complex 1, there is now an exhibition dedicated to the defeat of Japan. There are a lot of Japanese armored vehicles, weapons, banners, etc. On the opposite side - the equipment of the USSR, including Lend-Lease.
  • The armored car moved to the partisan village. A wooden "station" was built next to it and several tanks and guns were placed, mostly from the time of the war.

How to get to Patriot Park.

Patriot Park has two seasonal opening hours (summer and winter) and two weekly opening hours (weekdays and weekends/holidays). They differ in the time when the park is open, but in any case it is from 10.00 to 17.00. How to get to Patriot by car is detailed on the website ( patriotp.ru) , and I will tell you how to get there on your own. The website states that both on weekdays and on holidays from the Golitsyno station every hour there is a minibus. Yeah, how. I arrived in Golitsyno on November 6 (a weekday) at the beginning of the ninth morning - no minibuses, not even a hint of their stop.

Maybe things are different on weekends, but there is no mention of this on the park's website. In general, I waited until 9.30 (two minibuses were supposed to leave according to the site’s schedule) and as a result I left by taxi, since they were at the station square. The price of the issue is 500 rubles one way, and the driver also gave his business card in case you need to take me back. As a result, I spent 1000 rubles on the road plus 500 for the entrance to the exposition. If you are ready for such expenses, welcome to Patriot Park on a weekday, taxis in Golitsyno work perfectly.

First steps: from parking to the cash register.

The parking lot (blue mark P) is huge, without exaggeration, so I advise you to leave the car as close to the barrier as possible in order to stomp your feet less. They will also come in handy when inspecting the objects of the park.

Take a look at the map. The red line marks the way to the ticket office located at the beginning of the VIP parking lot. It was here that she was transferred from the entrance terminal to the central exhibition complex (marker 7). Here you can buy tickets, but you can’t leave things in the luggage room and visit the toilet. Nearby there are toilet cubicles, but they work only in the summer. AT winter period all street toilets are closed, only those in the pavilions work!

Exhibition complex Patriot-Expo.

Five minutes from the ticket office you can walk to the territory of the Patriot-Expo exhibition complex (dark gray fill, blue mark 7).

During the days of the Army Forum, there is nowhere for an apple to fall, and the rest of the time there is not so much equipment.

Here you can see modern artillery, both self-propelled and towed,

salvo fire systems.

A year ago, several vehicles from the strategic missile complex Topol-M, but in the fall they were transferred to site No. 1. It is possible that and launcher will go there soon.

There are also anti-aircraft missile systems, with a dozen post-war tanks,

four helicopters and an An-2 aircraft.

And there are also monuments to marshals Zhukov, Konev and Rokossovsky.

In 2016, there was also a monument to the heroes of the film “They Fought for the Motherland” here. Later, it was moved to the building of the Ministry of Defense.

Yes, and in 2017 there was another group of special forces with a motorcycle M-72 . Alas, in the rain and for the winter, the motorcycle is covered with a cover, and you won’t be able to take a picture next to it.

Also pay attention to the benches for rest. Some of them are made in the form of sea mines, some in the form of tank tracks.

Museum site №1.

That's where the technology is apparently invisible, so it's in the Museum Complex No. 1 (the former VKS sector). You can get there by free local shuttle bus. It departs every 15-20 minutes from the cash desk (blue label with the number 1) both on holidays and on weekdays - I personally checked it. The route scheme is marked on the map with a thin blue line. Patriot Park also offers bike rentals in the summer. however, if your goal is not to ride in the fresh air, but to see the equipment, it is better to use a minibus.

On the way to the first complex, pay attention to the sculpture of a military skier.

And here we are at the target. The stop at the complex is marked with a blue mark 2. The exposition here is presented both in pavilions and in an open area. There are 12 pavilions in total, they are indicated on the map by a polygon with a yellow fill.

――――――――

Each pavilion is dedicated to a separate topic: Space Forces, Atoms in the Service of the Motherland, History of the Airborne Forces, Stalingrad, etc. Some of the vehicles from the Museum of Armored Vehicles in Kubinka and the Ryazan Military Automobile Museum are exhibited in them. All pavilions are interconnected by internal passages, and in warm time years have access to the open area.

See (armored vehicles, cars) and (aviation, navy, missiles) for complete reviews of equipment in the open area.

The open area is distinguished by its huge size and a large number of equipment exhibited here. Nevertheless, there is also a lot of free space here, and Patriot Park constantly replenishes this exposition. From September to November, for example, new tankers and complexes with drones were brought here. For the convenience of orientation, I marked the zones with different types of equipment with color fill.

――――――――

Orange fill - anti-aircraft and strategic missiles, radar.

Green fill - armored vehicles, engineering and transport vehicles.

Pink fill - tankers, logistics support vehicles.

Brown fill - signal troops.

Mustard pour - intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Light gray fill - drones.

blue fill - Navy. Mines, torpedoes, artillery, Poisk-2 deep-sea submersible, coast guard missile systems.

The blue zone is aviation: airplanes and helicopters.

The benches in this area are also made in aviation style.

Nearby there is an exhibition with a separate entrance "Motors of war". It is dedicated to the technology of the Second World War, it is marked with a red rectangle on the map.

Armored wagon.

The minibus stop at number 3 is called "Armored Wagon" (lilac fill).

Naturally, the main exhibit here is the same armored car from the war. In the summer, you can even go inside and see what it was like to fight in such a place.

In addition to the armored car, there is a military echelon at the railway platform: a steam locomotive, a heating wagon and a couple of platforms with anti-aircraft guns.

In the pavilion next door there is an exhibition "Motoworld", which presents rare motorcycles of the twentieth century. On the map, it is indicated by a dark green rectangle.

Center for military tactical games.

Stop number 4 is located near several points of interest. The yellow rectangle with a brown outline is pavilions for interactive games.

One of the zones is called the "Afghan trail", here you can play war games with pneumatic guns with plastic balls-cartridges. For decoration, the most real military equipment was used: cars, guns, a helicopter.

See the full review of the technology on the Afghan trail.

Lilac fill with a red outline - "Camp of Signalers" and "Scout Town". Here you can see about a dozen vehicles of the signal troops and mobile power plants. I shot here at the end of August, when the exposition was just being assembled. Judging by the pictures on the Patriot Park website, by the end of October, the cars were painted and information plates were installed on each.

See a complete overview of the equipment in the town of signalmen.

Opposite the entrance to the pavilions is a small alley. On it you can see the Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters, the An-24 aircraft and the monument to General Brusilov.

Yunarmiya sector and Partisan village.

Next to bus stop number 5 are the Yunarmiya sector and the Partisan Village exhibition complex. One of the pavilions houses a unique exposition dedicated to the military operation in Syria (yellow fill with a lilac outline).

See the full photo review of the Syrian exhibition.

A model of a military base in Khmeimim, models of Russian aircraft, but the main thing is trophies captured from militants. Homemade mortars and ammunition, machine guns and rifles of all times and peoples, equipment for handicraft production chemical weapons- all this can be seen here.

In the "Partisan Village" (blue fill with a blue outline) you can see the device of dugouts different types wartime, see the original items of partisan life, taste linden tea.

And in the “Partisan Village” they bake amazing bread, real, without additives. If you have a desire and do not feel sorry for 150 rubles, you can buy a loaf and take it with you.

A Khokhloma-painted tank and Gzhel-painted guns parked on the street next to the Yunarmiya pavilions.

Opposite is a monument to the heroes of the film "Officers".

A little closer to the "Partisan Village" - real armored personnel carriers-40 and anti-aircraft guns S-60.

Directly at the entrance to the partisans are Soviet BM-37 mortars and a German PAK 35-36 cannon.

A huge field nearby is a zone of historical reconstructions. On it you can see the layout of the Reichstag, which was involved in the reconstruction of the "Storm of Berlin" on April 23, 2017.

And there is also the Church of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious, built to the glory of the Russian army and in memory of those who died defending the Fatherland.

Multifunctional fire center.

Stop number 6 is the end point of the route. Here is a multifunctional firing center where you can shoot from different types weapons. Honestly, I didn’t get here, but I’m going to correct this omission in the summer.

In conclusion of the review, I want to give some general and, in my opinion, useful tips.

  • In winter, outdoor toilets are closed. Only the toilets in the pavilions work, and they are located not so very often.
  • Fast food outlets and cafes are open only in summer. The rest of the time you have to be content with water and Snickers from vending machines.
  • Drinks in glass bottles will not be allowed into Patriot Park. And with alcohol they will not be allowed at all in any container.
  • If you do not get to the park by car, take a reserve of money in a taxi. You never know what will happen to the bus.
  • Is it possible to visit Patriot Park and not take anything away as a souvenir? Tanks, airplanes, caps... If you are going with a child, adjust the budget in a plus. And if you yourself are like a child, even more so.
  • And again about money. Cards are not in favor here, with ATMs tight. Cash will come in handy.

Well, that's it for the first time. In the future, for each sector, I will publish a detailed review, and now I say “Goodbye!” to everyone.
