The Heat and Power College is an educational institution that, in its activities, focuses on the needs of the labor market of the city of Moscow and the Moscow region and the needs of the founder of JSC MOEK for workers and specialists. The college of OJSC "MOEK" trains highly qualified mid-level specialists and workers, providing the fuel and energy complex of Moscow with professional personnel.

At the same time, work is underway to expand the list of implemented professional educational programs: since 2005, training has been carried out in specialty 140102 “Heat supply and heating equipment”, profession 2.18 “Fitter for control and measuring instruments and automation”. Of all the professional educational programs currently being implemented at the college, the training of specialists on the basis of secondary (complete) general education is carried out in two specialties (140102 “Heat supply and heating equipment” and 080110 “Economics and accounting”); on the basis of basic general education (9th grade), training is carried out in the specialty of secondary vocational education (140102 “Heat supply and heating equipment”) and the profession of non-profit professional education (2.18 “Fitter for instrumentation and automation”). Employees of organizations in Moscow and the region are trained under professional retraining programs.

Specialty 140102 “Heat supply and heating equipment” is implemented at the basic and advanced levels, the NPO profession is mainly at the 3rd level of qualification.

Students are taught by highly qualified teachers.

The educational space of the college includes a training and laboratory base, as well as enterprises of thermal stations and networks - branches of OJSC "MOEK". Modern information technologies are successfully used in the educational process; equipping with modern computer and video projection equipment makes it possible to create a multimedia environment of modern professional education in the college.

Professional education begins in college workshops, where students receive primary professional knowledge and skills. Industrial training and technological practice take place at the enterprises of the Moscow United Energy Company.

All graduates are issued a state diploma. Admission to training in professional educational programs of SVE and NPO is carried out in accordance with the admission targets approved by the founder - OJSC "MOEK".
