We take the following ingredients:

  • 30 grams of butter,
  • a spoonful of vegetable oil,
  • 8 chicken legs;
  • 2 onions, chopped;
  • 2 cloves of chopped garlic;
  • ¼ cup orange juice;
  • 2 small spoons of orange zest;
  • ¾ spoon of sugar;
  • half a glass of white wine;
  • half a glass of water;
  • 40 grams of dry French onion soup concentrate.
  1. Heat vegetable oil and butter in a frying pan. Fry the chicken legs on both sides over medium heat until a crust forms. Place on paper towels to dry;
  2. Fry the onion and garlic, then add the zest, juice, wine, sugar, diluted soup with water. Stir until smooth;
  3. We put the meat. As soon as it boils, reduce the heat and simmer under the lid for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

The finished chicken with oranges is sent to the table.

Recipe 2. Chicken in a pan with oranges

We take the following ingredients:

  1. First of all, we fry the breast in a frying pan with butter and simmer a little. Take it out and put it on a plate;
  2. Cut the citrus fruits into 3-4 circles, remove the zest, cut into pieces, and squeeze the juice out of the pulp;
  3. Pour the juice into the same frying pan where the meat was fried, add the zest and fruit slices. Boil over low heat for several minutes;
  4. Then put the breast there and simmer over low heat until soft.

We take the following ingredients:

  • 600 grams of wings, poultry drumsticks;
  • 5 grams of dry paprika;
  • 400 grams of orange;
  • coriander, salt.
  1. Carefully wash the poultry parts and place them in a multicooker bowl;
  2. Squeeze juice from fruits and add to meat;
  3. Mash the remaining pulp from the citrus fruits, add paprika, coriander, and salt. Mix everything, leave to marinate for 15–20 minutes;
  4. Close the multicooker, press the “Stew” buttons, time – 1 hour, product – “Meat”.

Chicken in a slow cooker with oranges turns out tender, really healthy and tasty.

Recipe 4. Chicken with oranges stewed in a slow cooker

We take the following ingredients:

  1. Wash and cut the meat into cubes, fry for about 15 minutes in a slow cooker;
  2. Then add the chopped onion, cook for another 5 minutes;
  3. Grind the washed citrus fruits into medium-sized slices. Add them to the meat and onions. Turn on the “Quenching” mode for half an hour.

This dish is perfect with pasta, cereals and boiled potatoes.

Recipe 5. Chicken with oranges in the oven

We take the following ingredients:

  • 1.2 kg poultry;
  • 4 oranges;
  • 100 grams of honey;
  • garlic – 2 cloves;
  • ground coriander, turmeric 1 spoon;
  • salt, olive oil.
  1. Prepare the marinade: mix spices, juice of 3 citrus fruits, honey, oil, crushed garlic in a bowl, add a little salt;
  2. We cut the bird into small pieces or leave it whole, coat it with marinade, and put it in the refrigerator for an hour;
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 0 C. Place the chicken in a baking dish, pour in the remaining marinade, place circles of the 4th fruit around it;
  4. Place in the oven for 45 minutes. Every 10 minutes, brush the meat with marinade.

We take the following ingredients:

1. Grate the zest from the orange, squeeze the juice from the pulp, chop the garlic clove;

2. Mix melted butter with zest, jam, garlic, three tablespoons of juice;

4. Cover the baking dish with foil, put the fillet there, spread generously with the mixture, cover the top with foil;

It is best to eat poultry, since its meat does not contain antibiotics, which are often used to raise poultry on a commercial scale. For the same reason, it is recommended to cook soups in secondary broth.

However, it is worth noting that homemade chicken will be tougher, and in order for the meat to become soft, it will need to be pre-marinated and simmered for a long time over low heat.

Store fillets and thighs in the refrigerator in an airtight container for no more than two days. You need to cut the chicken on a plastic board, but not a wooden one, since plastic is washed out, and wood absorbs bacteria and can store them for about a month.

A whole bird is cooked for about an hour and a half, so that the meat near the bones is not red.

A universal and fairly simple recipe for cooking chicken with oranges in the oven. The dish does not require any frills, but despite its apparent simplicity, it looks very beautiful and appetizing on the plate. And what an aroma it smells!

Required ingredients:

- chicken weighing up to 1.5 kg.

- two oranges

— seasoning for baked chicken 1 pack.

- spices

- sour cream 200 gr. (or cream)

- sleeve for baking

Cooking method:

1. Rinse the gutted chicken and remove excess liquid from the carcass with a paper towel. Coat the chicken thoroughly with seasoning and spices. Set aside for now.

2. Cut the oranges into circles and, together with the peel, stuff them into the chicken. Lubricate the top of the carcass with cream or sour cream. Place the chicken in the sleeve, tying and clipping the ends, and place it in the oven.

3. Bake for 80 minutes. at 180 C, piercing the sleeve at the top with a toothpick to release steam. 15 minutes before readiness, the top of the sleeve can be opened so that the chicken can be covered with an appetizing crust.

Recipe 2: Chicken with oranges and apples in the oven

Tender, aromatic, golden-crusted chicken with oranges and apples, baked in the oven, will give you several minutes of true pleasure. If you don’t try, you will lose a lot!

Required ingredients:

- chicken (whole carcass)

- green apple (large) 1 pc.

— large orange 1 pc.

- one glass of Crimean white wine

— spices for chicken in the oven 1 package

- salt and pepper if necessary (if they are not in the spices)

- sunflower oil + 1 tsp. l. honey

Cooking method:

1. Rinse the chicken and squeeze out any excess liquid. Rub the carcass with a mixture of vegetable oil, honey, seasoning, dry herbs, salt and pepper (optional). Put it in the cold for half an hour to soak in a little.

2. Peel the orange and divide it into slices. Cut the apples into cubes, removing the seeds. Mix apple and orange. Fill the chicken with the apple-orange filling and seal the hole with toothpicks.

3. Tie the sleeve tightly on one side, pour the wine into it, place the chicken there and clamp the other end of the bag. Place the chicken in the oven and bake for about an hour and a half at 180 C.

4. Take out the finished dish, open the package, decorate with rosemary sprigs and place on a large dish, removing the toothpicks from the belly.

Recipe 3: Braised Chicken with Oranges and Ginger

A very original dish - for those who are not afraid to experiment. The combination of orange, chicken and ginger in a dish produces simply amazing results!

Required ingredients:

- seven chicken thighs

— oranges 2 pcs.

- juice of ½ orange

- ginger root 3 centimeters

- 4 cloves of garlic

- two medium onions

- celery stalk

- half a teaspoon of dried rosemary

- a pinch of nutmeg

- salt pepper

Cooking method:

1. Rinse the thighs, dry and rub with spices and salt. Cut the peeled onions and oranges into rings. Place a layer of onions and a layer of oranges (take half) on the bottom of a wide saucepan (or frying pan). Sprinkle thinly sliced ​​ginger on top.

3. Close the saucepan (frying pan) tightly with a lid and place over medium heat until it boils. After boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer the dish on the stove, covered, for 45 minutes.

“Orange Paradise” is primarily a holiday salad, but due to the fact that it is quite simple to make, it can be prepared very, very often. There will be no harm from it, but you will get enormous pleasure.

Required ingredients:

- 300 gr. chicken fillet (from the leg)

- three sweet oranges

— 150 gr. Korean carrots (sold ready-made)

— 150 gr. hard cheese

- 3-4 boiled eggs

- mayonnaise and sour cream

1. Fry the chicken fillet in vegetable oil with added salt (the chicken can also be boiled). Cool and cut into strips.

Preparation:

Thaw the breast first if you bought it frozen and remove the skin.

Cut the onion into half rings of medium thickness.


Peel the orange, divide into segments and cut into small pieces. Try to get all the seeds.

If you want to get a brighter and richer citrus aroma in the finished dish, then first wash the orange and grate its skin (only the orange layer, not the white!) on a fine grater. Then add the zest to the rest of the seasonings. Half a teaspoon is enough.


Punch the orange pulp with a blender and add spices and salt.

Stir the pieces occasionally to prevent them from burning. In just 25 minutes everything will be absolutely ready.
