By far the best premium tier 8 tank for farming is the Soviet one. heavy tank IS-3, German Tiger II, French AMX 50 100, American T 32. Medium tanks - American M 26 Pershing and Soviet Object 416. Light tanks - French AMX 13 90 and Soviet T 54 obl. The popularity of this level of the game is due not only to playing in a random house, but also to participation in team and company battles, war on the global map and in battles for fortified areas.

Among the variety of tanks of the eighth level, premium tanks are especially popular. What will the best tier 8 premium tank give? Increased farm credits, often a preferential level of battles, accelerated crew training, the pleasure of owning a tank for a successful game. What is the best level 8 premium tank to buy? A serious question for every player who decides to pick up a brand new car in his hangar. There is no consensus on this matter, because each player has his own style of play.

However, most gamers agree that the best premium tanks are:

  • french premium tank tier 8 FCM 50t;
  • Soviet IS -6;
  • American premium tank Т26Е5;
  • heavy Chinese premium tank 8 level 112.

Of the medium tanks, the M4A1 Revalorise, T26E4 Super Pershing and the Chinese Type 59 are very popular.

Which premium tank of level 8 is better to buy

For beginners, the American Premium Tier 8 T 34 tank is well suited - it has good frontal armor with a strong turret, a powerful gun with good armor penetration. Overall, the T34 is a very balanced Tier 8 premium tank. But if you want to break into the enemy's lair, the Chinese 112 is well suited. High one-time damage, armored forehead of the hull and turret - this is what a fidget player needs. And for farming credits, machines such as the German Lowe and the French FCM 50t are best suited.

Many premium vehicles have a preferential level of battles. These are preferential Tier 8 premium tanks IS-6, KV-5, FCM 50t, 112 and T26E4 Super Pershing, which get into battle with a maximum of Tier 9 tanks. Gradually, they are being removed from the game, and you should hurry to buy these premium tanks in our store. However, the developers regularly delight players with new combat vehicles, and in the next updates we will have the Swedish premium tank Strv S1, which is a tank destroyer, which will allow fans of the Swedish development tree to upgrade the crew for the top tank destroyer.

Now the balancer is often unable to provide an even hit in the top/middle/bottom of the list of commands. Getting into the same part of the list in several battles in a row slows down the development in the game and worsens the gaming experience for absolutely any vehicle. Unfortunately, simply tweaking the current algorithm will not fix the situation.

In internal tests, we tried to artificially reduce the chances of "preferential" vehicles getting into battles with +1 level vehicles and single-level battles. However, this led to an increase in the number of single-tier battles and the waiting time for a battle not only for Tier VIII and IX, but also for Tier VI and X vehicles.

We are currently revising the balancer rules to improve the distribution of the number of fights between the 3/5/7, 10/5 and 15 patterns. Our goal is to avoid situations where players hit the bottom of the 3/5/7 pattern list too often (at about 80 % of cases).

Finding the optimal solution will take some time (about six months), so please be patient. We already have a plan and we have started work on the balancer. We will tell you the details in a separate publication - follow the news.

What's next?

"Preferential" tanks is a hot topic for the community. And today we will add reasons for discussion: in update 1.2, the characteristics of such vehicles Tier VIII will improve. These changes will make the perks more effective against both the 8s and 9s.

We are already finishing the balancing of equipment with preferential level battles and are ready to talk about the results of their work and what awaits in the game next.

How will the characteristics of preferential cars change?

KV-5

  • The KV-5 will improve its key characteristics: firepower and survival. The new value of armor penetration by the base shell will make it possible to more effectively resist both Tier VIII and Tier IX vehicles when firing at vulnerable spots. Reducing the aiming time will reduce the time to prepare a shot, which will improve both the firepower and, indirectly, the survivability of the vehicle. Strengthening the once vulnerable places of the armor will allow you to more effectively resist the "classmates".

IS-6

  • The FCM 50t will receive improved damage per minute and higher mobility along with an increase in gun depression. Increased firepower will update the tank to the current realities of random battles, and improved mobility with increased HP will affect both survivability and combat effectiveness.

112

  • Changes to 112 will increase efficiency in combat: of the two premium "Chinese" vehicles, this vehicle is more suitable for close combat. To do this, we will improve both its armor penetration by shells with aiming parameters and premium shell flight speed, as well as its rate of fire. At the same time, 112 remains not very effective on long distances, but more adapted to head-on battles, where its strong tower shows itself better.

WZ-111

  • The WZ-111 and its Alpine twin will receive similar changes to 112: armor penetration and flight speed of the premium shell will be improved, aiming parameters will change. But accuracy and aiming times will improve more to highlight small differences in gameplay: the WZ-111 and the Alpine Tiger feel slightly better in ranged combat.

Machines with a single base model, such as the WZ-111 and WZ-111 Alpine Tiger will receive the same improvements.

M6A2E1

  • M6A2E1 will receive a comprehensive improvement in performance: armor penetration, aiming parameters, and armor. Additional strength points will appear. This complex change will affect both the comfort and the combat effectiveness of the vehicle, emphasizing all the strengths and leveling the vulnerabilities.

T-34-3

  • In addition to a general improvement in performance (armor penetration, aiming parameters, stabilization and projectile speed), the T-34-3 will receive a long-awaited increase in gun depression angles both in the frontal projection and from the stern. The machine will become more efficient and versatile, and the game on it will be more variable on maps with difficult terrain.

Type 59

  • The combat effectiveness of the legendary vehicle will correspond to its status. "Type" will be able to fully participate in the battles and influence the development of the battle. A comprehensive improvement in the characteristics of firepower, aiming and armor parameters update the Type-59 for modern conditions of random battles.

S. Pershing

  • Super Pershing will be able to fully fulfill the role of a fire support vehicle with decent armor for the class. The characteristics have been improved in a complex: firepower and aiming parameters will increase significantly, but mobility will improve quite a bit. The forehead of the tower will become stronger, the armor will vulnerabilities will be strengthened, and the gun balancers will be added to the collision model as a screen.

JgTig.8.8 cm

  • Jagdtiger 8.8 with updated stats will last longer and deal better damage. Improving armor penetration and rate of fire will make it possible to more effectively perform the main task of tank destroyers - to deal damage. And complex changes to mobility will give more chances to escape from the shelling and fight for survival in close combat.

Why we fixed "preferential" cars

What did not like : often the “perks” could not oppose anything to Tier IX opponents and felt worse when competing with regular Tier VIII vehicles. Such vehicles did not get into battles with the "tens", and because of this, their characteristics were limited, as well as their effectiveness in battle. "Preferential" premium vehicles most often ended up in battles with tanks of the same tier or vehicles on a higher tier. It was unpleasant and not very effective: the special status and limited performance characteristics did more harm than good.

What did you want: It was necessary to make the gameplay for the "perks" more comfortable, keeping the level of battles limited and not changing the gameplay for each car.

How to fix : improving the characteristics of all "perks" of the 8th level to increase their combat effectiveness, as well as finalizing the balancer. The updated balancer should reduce the frequency of hitting the same part of the team list (top/middle/bottom) in a series of consecutive battles.

  • Tier VIII vehicles with a full level of battles face the same balancer problem as "preferential" vehicles. Frequent fights at the bottom of the list are few people like.
  • New balancer rules in the future will change the distribution of battles in different parts list for all vehicles with both preferential and full battle levels.

How we increased combat effectiveness

The first step is to improve the performance characteristics of the "preferential" cars and check the changes in the statistics of the "preferential" "eights". We wanted to increase their competitiveness in single-tier battles and battles with Tier IX vehicles, while maintaining a balance, taking into account their special status. We didn't want these vehicles to become more effective than tanks with a full combat level that fight against vehicles two tiers higher.

The updated features have been tested in closed testing, and we hope that we got the desired result.

Now these unique premium vehicles are much closer in combat effectiveness to vehicles with a full level of battles. It is impossible to call them equivalent, because the “benefits” do not have to resist the “tens” in the battle. But now they have something to say in the battle against single-level machines and even “nines”.

Example: The IS-6's stats have improved, but it won't be any better than the IS-3, since the IS-6 only fights 9s, while the IS-3 also fights tens.

How did the performance characteristics change

Note: the described changes were valid only on the supertest.

  1. The first stage: we leveled the effectiveness of the “preferential” technique relative to each other.
  2. Second stage: we identified the key characteristics for each machine that determine the gameplay, and improved them.
  3. Third stage: fine-tuned the improvements of the previous stage.

During testing and tuning of characteristics, we tried not only to increase the combat effectiveness of vehicles, but also to make them more comfortable thanks to point changes, decisive questions with sore spots of technology. For example, they increased the ammunition capacity for the IS-6 and improved the ULV of the T-34-3. These changes are unlikely to affect the efficiency of cars, but will make the game more comfortable.

What's next

The main part of the work on improving the characteristics of the "eights" with a preferential level of battles has been completed. But we continue to monitor the statistics and read your feedback. If the applied edits are not enough, we will make new ones. In addition, a little later we will start working on cars Level VII and other vehicles with preferential combat levels.

And now a few words about the work on the balancer.

In Update 9.18, we introduced a new balancer that forms battles according to the 3-5-7 pattern. As a result, the distribution of teams in different parts of the list changed - from now on, everyone could find an opponent according to their strength. But something remained unresolved, and this is especially noticeable in relation to the "preferential" cars. We are talking about frequent battles in the middle and bottom of the list. We will try to fix it. How exactly?

Right now we cannot control the distribution of the number of battles in different parts of the list: the balancer simply does not have such a mechanism. Therefore, we need to not only decide on the most suitable distribution option, but also completely redesign the balancer architecture, adding the possibility of such a setting. This is what we are working on now. Such work will take time, so, unfortunately, the changes will appear in the game some time later, after updating the characteristics of the “preferential” cars.

The so-called “Preferential tanks” in the game World of Tanks are those tanks that do not fall into the prescribed range of levels, but have their own. Normal tanks have a spread of minus 2 plus 2 levels. For example, a level 7 tank can throw a balancer both into a battle with levels 5-6-7 and into a 7-8-9 battle, where he can do little to help his allies.

And for preferential tanks, the upper bar is reduced. But they are generally weaker than their “classmates”. All preferential tanks are premium vehicles. That is, the farm of silver on them is better by + 50%.
