Technique and Internet

Today, mortise handles for furniture are very popular. This is due to the combination of their functional and consumer advantages.

Advantages

  • compactness. Such fittings do not take up useful space, so mortise handles are often used for furniture in small spaces.
  • Aesthetics. Designer mortise handles fit perfectly into a variety of stylistic solutions.
  • Safety. They do not protrude beyond the line of the facade, so they cannot be caught on and injured. In addition, they have excellent ergonomics.

Profile handle for sliding wardrobe

A special case of mortise fittings is the so-called "molding". Such handles are made with long whips and have a special profile. These products are also called "profile handles". They are U-shaped strips that do not cut into the front plane of the door leaf or drawer, but are fixed on one of the ends. Thus, the handle profile, as it were, cuts “between” the structural elements of the product.

A similar solution has become widespread in the design of sliding facade systems, in particular wardrobes. Such fittings, in addition to their main function, also help protect the ends from mechanical damage and swelling. Profile-handles for the wardrobe, see.

They are most often made of metal or plastic, as well as mortise handles, for example, a 160 mm profile handle for a cabinet (not a compartment) and kitchen drawers. On the front surface for decorative purposes can be applied:

  • electroplated coating;
  • powder paint;
  • PVC film.

Furniture mortise handles can be purchased inexpensively in the Furnitarium online store. In our catalog you will find a wide range of facial fittings from leading manufacturers at reasonable prices. To buy mortise furniture handles, make a reservation on the website or by phone.

Before using the services of our online store site, please read this Agreement carefully.

This agreement, hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”, is concluded between the Online Store --------------- www. store, hereinafter referred to as the "Buyer", and determines the conditions for the purchase of goods through the Site.

1. About the activities of online stores in Russian Federation.

Legal relations of purchase and sale in the Russian Federation are regulated by the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (paragraph 2 "Retail purchase and sale", Chapter 30). By virtue of paragraph 3 of Art. 492 of this Code, the provisions of the Law of February 7, 1992 No. 2300-1 “On Protection of Consumer Rights” apply to relations under a retail sale and purchase agreement with the participation of a citizen buyer not regulated by the Civil Code. Article 26.1 of the said Law (Article 26.1 was introduced into the Law by the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of December 21, 2004 No. 171-FZ, which entered into force on January 9, 2005) establishes that a retail sale and purchase agreement can be concluded on the basis of familiarization a consumer with a description of the goods proposed by the seller through catalogs, brochures, booklets, photographs, means of communication (television, postal, radio communications and others) or in other ways that exclude the possibility of direct acquaintance of the buyer with the goods or its sample when concluding an agreement (remote method of selling goods).

Internet commerce belongs to this category, since when ordering a product via the Internet, the buyer does not have the opportunity to directly familiarize himself with the product itself or its sample.

Regulation of this type of trade is carried out on the basis of the Rules for the sale of goods by remote means, established by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of September 27, 2007 No. 612. The norms of the above legislative acts apply without restrictions to the purchase and sale of goods through online stores.

The sale of goods through the online store takes place on the basis of a retail sale and purchase agreement concluded between the seller of the goods and the buyer. In accordance with paragraph 2 of Art. 432 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, such agreements are concluded by sending an offer (proposal to conclude an agreement) by one of the parties and its acceptance (acceptance of the offer) by the other party. Proposals containing all the essential terms of the contract, which can be accepted by anyone who responds, are recognized as a public offer in accordance with Art. 437 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.

Similarly, the offer of goods on a website on the Internet, addressed to an indefinite circle of persons, is recognized by the current legislation of the Russian Federation as a public offer (clause 1, article 494 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation), if such an offer contains all the essential terms of the retail sale contract (name of goods, price per unit of goods, direct offer for the purchase of goods).

In accordance with all-Russian classifier types of economic activity OK 029-2001, approved by the Resolution of the State Standard of November 6, 2001 No. 454-st, the sale of goods via the Internet is retail trade carried out through tele-shops and computer networks (OKVED code 52.61.2).

Online stores must provide the following information on the website in a form accessible to the consumer:

  • offer (conditions for the sale of goods)
  • a set of information for consumers (observance of rights to information about the product, manufacturer, seller), certificates, technical documentation, etc., copies of licenses (if the activity is subject to licensing).

The seller's obligation to transfer the goods to the buyer arises from the moment he receives the corresponding message from the buyer about his intention to conclude a contract for the purchase of goods (acceptance).

The acceptance of the buyer is an application in which the potential buyer of the goods must indicate the following:

  • the name and address of the seller,
  • your last name, first name and patronymic (or another person who is the recipient of the goods),
  • the address to which the goods are to be delivered,
  • name of the product, article number, brand, variety, number of items included in the package of the purchased product, the price of the goods,
  • type of service (when provided), time of its execution and cost,
  • buyer's obligations.

The online store (seller of the goods) is obliged to deliver the goods to the place indicated by the buyer within the time period established by the contract, and if this is not named, to the place of residence of the citizen (clause 1, article 499 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation). In order for the retail sale contract to be considered fulfilled, it is not necessary to transfer the goods directly to its buyer. In the absence of a buyer, the goods may be transferred to any person who has presented a receipt or other document evidencing the conclusion of an agreement or the delivery of goods (clause 2, article 499 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation).

Ownership rights to the goods under contracts that include the condition of their delivery by the seller are transferred from the seller to the buyer at the time of delivery of the goods to the buyer.

The possibilities for the consumer to refuse the goods are specified in paragraph 4 of Art. 26.1 of the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights". The buyer has the right to refuse the goods at any time before its transfer, and after the transfer of the goods - within 14 days.

Return of goods of proper quality is possible if its presentation, consumer properties, as well as a document confirming the fact and conditions of purchase of the specified goods are preserved. The consumer's lack of a document confirming the fact and conditions of the purchase of goods does not deprive him of the opportunity to refer to other evidence of the purchase of goods from this seller.

At the same time, the consumer does not have the right to refuse goods of appropriate quality, having individually defined properties, if the specified product can be used exclusively by the consumer who purchases it.

If the consumer refuses the goods, the seller must return to him the amount of money paid by the consumer under the contract, with the exception of the seller's expenses for the delivery of the returned goods from the consumer, no later than thirty days from the date the consumer makes the relevant request (if necessary, an examination - within 40 days ).

In case of exchange and return, the cost of delivery is paid by the Client. If you received a poor-quality product or you were not delivered what was ordered, the cost of the return is paid by the online store.

In case of disputes over the quality of the goods or the reasons for the occurrence of defects in the goods, the seller accepts the goods of inadequate quality from the buyer and conducts an examination. The buyer has the right to participate in checking the quality of the goods and challenge the conclusion of the examination in court.

Designers liken handles to spices that give a dish a unique taste - they complete the kitchen. Front fittings can emphasize the beauty of facades, or they can easily spoil the whole impression of beautiful kitchen furniture. Take the time to choose them - and you will definitely thank yourself for the convenient and beautiful cuisine. And our review will help you with this.

How to buy the right handles for kitchen furniture, materials, prices, manufacturers, popular types of handles and designer's advice on choosing furniture fittings for the kitchen - in this article.

Do you like smooth, even facades? Technologies for the production of modern kitchen sets make it possible to do without fittings. The most obvious solution is to use Push-to-Open mechanisms. The option is not as expensive as it is commonly believed (for example, IKEA has budget solutions), it is very durable and very convenient. Another option is milling, special recesses on the facades that replace the handles. Great solution for concise modern kitchens in the style of minimalism.

materials

Facial fittings are most often made of alloys, usually based on zinc and aluminum. Examples are Zamak (composed of zinc, aluminum, magnesium and copper) and Znal (composed of zinc and aluminum). Due to the special properties of these alloys, it is easy to make strong and durable handles of the most intricate shape from them.

The decorative coating of the fittings perfectly imitates a variety of metals - bronze, gold, silver, chrome, copper, brass, nickel, etc. The surface can be matte or shiny. Imitation of aged metal is very popular. Manufacturers achieve the “antique” look of handles in different ways, for example, by patination (applying a special composition to the surface). In general, semi-antique bronze - old or antique bronze, as its manufacturers often call it - is one of the most favorite options for decorating accessories for kitchens in the style of classic, country and Provence. In modern kitchens, the undisputed leader is handles coated with matte or glossy chrome.

Porcelain (plain or with a beautiful painting) and rock crystals or their imitation - rhinestones often act as decorations.

The widest range of facial accessories - in specialized online stores. There you can find unusual pens for kitchen set- made of transparent and translucent plastic or acrylic (the so-called transparency), leather, with inserts of wood and colored glass, etc.

Handles for kitchen cabinets last the longest if the decorative metal coating on their surface has been electroplated. Galvanic coating is the thinnest (from fractions of a micron to tenths of a millimeter) metal film that protects the handle from corrosion, increases its wear resistance and enhances the decorative effect. Serious hardware manufacturers carry out the galvanization process after threading for fasteners. This serves as a guarantee that rust will not appear in the attachment points over time.

Much less lives cheap fittings with paintwork applied by spraying. It may look no worse than expensive counterparts. But if you use such pens every day, and even in a kitchen with high humidity and temperature changes, their surface will quickly lose its appearance.

Dimensions

The most important point when choosing a handle for kitchen facades is the so-called center-to-center distance (the gap between the holes for the fixing screws). It must be indicated in any description of a furniture handle and can be very different - from 16 to 1053 mm (depending on the type of handle and manufacturer) with a standard step of 32 mm.

5 popular types of handles for kitchen furniture

Handles-brackets are the most popular type of facial fittings. They have a U-shaped or curved arc shape and fit comfortably in the hand. A big plus is that they are securely attached to the facades with two screws. In the assortment of fittings stores you can find a huge number of options for the kitchen in any style. The most popular options are with a center distance from 16 to 480 mm.

rail handles most often they buy for a kitchen set in a modern style. Their design is simple and elegant: a thin crossbar in the form of a cylinder or plank (straight, not concave) and two brackets along the edges. The ends of the crossbar can protrude beyond the legs, or they can immediately go into them (in fact, this is a variant of the handle-bracket). The most popular railing type handles have a center distance in the range from 96 to 608 mm.

Knobs look a little old-fashioned, so they are rarely put on the doors of modern-style headsets. But they will perfectly complement and decorate the kitchen in the style of a classic, retro, country or Provence.

Actually, it is customary to call such handles a button, where the “head” is attached to the facade on one low leg. Their size is usually small. In shape, they are very different - round, oval, square, rectangular, flat and convex, smooth and figured, in the form of a flower, starfish and even a seahorse.

“Buttons” are most often placed on small drawers and doors with a narrow facade or glass inserts, and on wider facades they can be accompanied by handles-brackets - with their help it is more convenient to pull out heavy boxes. For example, IKEA designers often offer such a solution for their kitchens.

Profile handles (or handle moldings)- in fact, this is a piece of hollow aluminum, less often plastic, profile. It is attached to the top or side of the kitchen door and fits snugly against the facade, in most cases without protruding above its surface. Such a profile between the hinged door and the worktop is not very noticeable. But in modules with drawers, it will be very noticeable against the background of contrasting facades.

Mortise (built-in) handles- the choice of those who do not like the fittings protruding above the surface of the doors. They crash into the plane furniture facade and merge with its plane. Installing them is quite difficult, they look specific, so they are rarely found in Russian-made kitchens.

Other types of pens - “drops”, “rings”, “earrings” and "shells" (shells) also rarely used in kitchen sets. They are good for a sideboard or cupboard with dishes, but they will not be very convenient on kitchen facades.

Touch pens with LED illumination

Technological and stylish, practical and functional furniture handles for modern kitchens with LEDs. When lightly touched, a soft light comes on, which goes out after 30 seconds. The LED lighting does not heat up the handles, so the facade of the headset will not suffer. Stylish, beautiful and safe. The illuminated handles are powered by ordinary batteries - the compact power supply is neatly hidden on the inside of the facade and is easily attached to double-sided tape.

The matte surface of such fittings is made of special plastic. It is pleasant to the touch and gently diffuses light. Please note that glowing pens differ in their design and come in two types. The first shines "out" in the direction from the facades. The second one is “inside”, its soft glow will emphasize the beauty of your furniture even better.

Economy-class ready-made headsets are already equipped with standard fittings, usually inexpensive and with the simplest design. But if you decide to make a kitchen to order, the designer in the salon will definitely offer you to choose handles from the catalog and advise which ones are best suited to a particular headset model. But you can choose any option that suits your taste more. What should you pay attention to when choosing accessories yourself?

  • Most importantly, the handles should be very comfortable for you, because you will have to open and close kitchen cabinets and drawers many times every day. At the same time, they should fit into the design of your kitchen and look harmoniously against the background of the facades.
  • The handle, especially the shackle or railing, should be comfortable to grip. Ideally, the width of the palm should pass into it, and not a pair of fingers. If you order a kitchen in the salon, be sure to try out the handles you have chosen in practice. Listen to the sensations, whether they are comfortable in the hand. If you decide to buy kitchen handles on the Internet, focus primarily on the center-to-center distance - it must be indicated in the description. As a rule, for a comfortable handle, the minimum is 96 mm, 128 mm is better. Measure the width of your palm - it will become a guideline for choosing the optimal size.
  • Hardware must be safe. No sharp corners and edges, elements that protrude too much above the surface, notches and defects in the decorative coating. If you have small children, be sure to have safety locks and locks that will prevent them from opening cabinet doors or pulling out a dangerous drawer.
  • After receiving an order from an online store or paying for a purchase in a regular store, be sure to inspect appearance and completeness of fittings and fasteners. All pens must have the same shade of finish. There should be no scratches, chips on ceramics, rhinestones should be well fixed.
  • If the handle on kitchen fronts is horizontal, it should not be too large in relation to the width of the door. Otherwise, when opening the cabinet, it will touch adjacent doors, the wall, drawer fronts and other handles.
  • If the kitchen modules are more or less the same size, feel free to use the same handles for all cabinets. If the kitchen front combines large fronts and small drawers, it makes sense to use handles that are proportionate to them. But do not overdo it - 2 sizes (one bigger, one smaller) will be enough.
  • Massive handles on the upper facades visually greatly overload the kitchen, especially a small one. If you do not want to use the “Push-to-open” mechanism or profile handles, you should choose fittings of a compact size with a concise, discreet design.
  • Pay attention to the combination of metal tone with the rest of the interior of your kitchen. It is better if all metal parts are the same - for example, only bronze, gold or chrome. It is desirable that the surface of the fittings be either matte or shiny. The neighborhood of both of them in the same kitchen can look disharmonious.

The golden rule for choosing fittings is that they must be proportionate, proportional to the modules of the headset. The narrower the facade, the shorter the handle. For standard kitchen modules with a width of 600 mm, long horizontal railing handles with a center distance of 436 mm are often recommended. For doors with a width of 500 mm, it is worth taking a handle no larger than 336 mm. With a width of 450, 400 and 350 mm - no more than 192 mm. For narrow cabinets and drawers with a width of 300 and 200 mm, you should not take handles with a center distance of more than 96 mm, but it is better to use a button handle, a drop or a shell at all.

Pay attention to the kitchen modules near the wall. If the cabinets are close to the wall with a minimum gap between them, the door will not open fully, and the handle will rest against the wall with the risk of damaging the wallpaper. In this case, you should choose a smaller handle and put it vertically, not horizontally - this will increase the opening angle. But the best solution is to move the cabinet five centimeters away from the wall, and close the gap with a false panel.

We select handles for the style of the kitchen

Modern style, hi-tech, minimalism

The best choice is handles-brackets and railings. For a simple, laconic interior, simple-shaped fittings with a minimalist, strict design are suitable. If you want to add shine to the kitchen, pens with rhinestones, crystals or pens with a spectacular “wicker” decor (these can be both staples and knobs-buttons) will become a spectacular accent. A good solution is mortise or profile handles. Smooth modern facades are a great backdrop for textured wooden handles.

Classic, country, provence

The most practical option is staples, handles-buttons (round, square or oval) are well suited. Less commonly used are “earrings” or “drops”. The style of the kitchen is complemented by imitation of forging, an artificially aged surface, characteristic patterns and carved ornaments. Very characteristic handles made entirely of ceramics or models with porcelain inlays (plain or painted pastoral decors).

At flea markets or in antique shops, you can dig up amazing old handles that will perfectly complement the interior of a classic or country style kitchen. And the combination of similar in size and shape handles with different decors will only give your antique kitchen an additional charm and create an atmosphere of a house with history.

Furniture handles in the form of cutlery

A very spectacular detail that will decorate even the simplest and most inexpensive kitchen. Previously, furniture handles in the form of spoons, forks and knives could be bought at Leroy Merlin and some online stores, but recent times they disappeared somewhere. But different options for such accessories can be purchased in foreign online stores, for example, on Aliexpress or Ebay.

Fastening is an important nuance

As a rule, screws for attaching handles to facades are included with them. The simplest mount is with a universal screw. But when ordering more "capricious" and expensive facades made of solid wood, plastic and glass in good salon you will be offered an additional washer - "gasket" between the screw and the surface of the furniture. It will protect the facade from fastener pressure and possible damage, which means it will extend its service life.

Manufacturers

In terms of design and quality, European-made front fittings are traditionally considered the best. But due to the crisis, prices for kitchen handles from Italy (Eureka, Premiere Furniture, Colombo Design, Bosetti-Marella, Giusti, Besana), Spain (Estamp) and Germany (Union Knopf), Belgium (Metakor) have increased markedly. An average-priced and good-quality option is Polish-made accessories (Gamet, Nomet, REJS). A decent range of handles for the kitchen is also offered by Russian manufacturers (Boyard).
